July 2018 Events!

The following notifications appear on everyone's radio/communications device:

Combat Event
!!WARNING!! Travelers may be temporarily misdirected to worlds currently experiencing intense combat and native-against-native warfare. The SDDT recommends that travelers do not get involved or disrupt the natural course of history. If you find yourself accidentally dislodged into one of these worlds, please make use of your emergency distress signal and we will be able to directly teleport you away from that world between 8 and 72 hours.

[OOC: Wonder how a character's canon history would have been changed if someone from another world had joined the fight? Want your character to experience wars waged by giant robots fighting each other? Or maybe you want to help out the innocent people caught between two raging forces! Play with the prompt however you like.]

Festival Event
To celebrate five successful years of intergalactic travel between billions of worlds, the SDDT has created a specialized Fireworks Package that you can set up in the world of your choice. Upon deploying the package, you and others for miles around will be able to enjoy an hour-long fireworks show that's not only dazzling to the eyes, but completely safe and able to be utilized in any environment -- even underwater! Central City will also be hosting a parade. Food and game vendors are welcome to set up stalls throughout the city. And, of course, there will be a spectacular fireworks show in the evening every night. Here's hoping for another year of happy travels!
